  Initial Request
----------------------------------------------------------------

Hello,

I am wondering where to find the codes as listed below? Following what
Titiana said this afternoon, I did a test and got the Log
files using "Python". But how to find the code? e.g: where to find
"/opt/metviewer_python/METplotpy_dev/metplotpy//plots/line/line.py"? Are
they accessible to us?

Thank you.
Binyu

Hi Binyu,

All the Python scripts that I was demonstrating on Monday are deployed
to and run on AWS.
We don't have any scripts or UI on WCOSS to execute METpluss Python on
AWS yet. You need to login to the AWS sever and run those commands
there. Let me know if you are interested and I will help you with
that.

Binyu
We are still in the development phase and don't have a smooth way of
executing Python scripts. We might make changes as we go so these
steps will work now but could be changed and improved later.
Here are the steps:
- ssh to AWS
- set env vars
export
PYTHONPATH=.:/opt/metviewer_python/METcalcpy_dev:/opt/metviewer_python/METplotpy_dev/metplotpy/
export METPLOTPY_BASE=/opt/metviewer_python/METplotpy_dev/metplotpy/
- config .yaml files are generated by METviewer and save images to the
protected directory. You need to copy .yaml to your home directory
cp /var/www/output//data//plot_20201218_191057.yaml ~
and edit plot_filename property
vi plot_20201218_191057.yaml
plot_filename: /data/mv_data/binyu.wang/plot_20201218_191057.png
- now you can run the script:
/opt/metviewer_python/METviewer_py3.6.3//bin/python
/opt/metviewer_python/METplotpy_dev/metplotpy//plots/line/line.py
~/plot_20201218_191057.yaml
-the image should be in /data/mv_data/binyu.wang directory
