Initial Request

Greetings MET Help Desk
I'm having some issues getting series_analysis to read my input files. The
error I get is "Trouble reading input data files."
The data files are all files that I created with regrid_data_plane. If I
ncdump the files or plot them with panoply, I don't see any issues. It
does not appear that series_analysis is having any issues finding the files.
My test script is on mars here:
/gpfs/dell3/mdl/mdlverif/noscrub/usr/John.L.Wagner/mdl-verification/mdl-verification_v2/lsf/test_sera.sh
The location of all of the input files, my config file, and any variables
used are in the script. I've tried testing with a single set of fcst and
obs files as well as a month's worth of data. The error is always the same.
Please let me know what I'm doing wrong.
Thanks
John

Hi John,
I was able to have a team member pull over some of your data from Mars
late
yesterday so I could see where the issue might be.
I was able to get a quick 2-file run to run successfully with a
minor tweak to your shell script: instead of using "Z10" as your
level, try
using "(*,*)". Since your input files are netCDF format, levels are
accessed by a (lat, lon) array. The "Z10" format is for grib and grib2
files.
You may also want to change your vld_thresh, as only those points with
all
of the data points available will be included in your results.
Let us know if there are additional issues,
-John O.

Thanks John. I still got the same error after changing the field. I
finally got it to work when I changed the single quotes around the
variable
names to double quotes. That'll teach me to cut and paste from other
scripts.
Thanks
John
