I have a ticket open already regarding building the new 8.1 on Red Hat system. This is another issue. One question I have is there recommended versions of Anaconda Python that should be used? I have built 8.0 on Red Hat with Anaconda 2.4.0. On the Cray I am using another version and get this error:

/usr/bin/ld: /lustre/scratch/software/anaconda2-5.3.1/lib/libfontconfig.so.1: undefined reference to `FT_Done_MM_Var'
collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status
Makefile:458: recipe for target 'plot_mode_field' failed
make: *** [plot_mode_field] Error 1

I did manage to get a good build by going back to an old version of
Anaconda Python.
