John, I am getting the following error running MODE. This could be a MET install problem localized to us and fixed when you deliver 8.0. But in case it is not related to MET installation I will pass it on.

Hi Bob,
Can you please send me this MODE config file you're using:
/h/WXQC/met-6.1/data/config/MODEConfig_precip_updated
The most likely explanation for this sort of parsing error is a typo
in the
"mask" section of that config file. So that'd be the first thing to
rule
out.

John, I corrected the problem with the configuration file but still
get the
error. The config file is attached. I had to recompile MET a while
ago
after the stat_analysis executable was accidently deleted. I ended up
with
some errors but stat_analysis built. Since then, we have been told to
not
compile MET until the fortified version is delivered by you. So, this
error
could be related to that. I might try running it with MET-6.0 to see
if it
works there until you deliver MET 8.

Bob,
I took a close look at the config file you sent to me and diffed it
against
the default one for met-6.1. I don't see any obvious problems in
there.
The "mask" section looks fine to me.
When you say you accidentally deleted the "stat_analysis" executable,
I
suspect you mean from the "bin" directory. That executable should
still
live in the code in "met-
6.1/src/tools/core/stat_analysis/stat_analysis".
Running "make install" literally just copies the executables from the
various directories in the code tree into the installed "bin"
directory.
Or if there's some rule against that, you could manually do that
yourself:
cp met-6.1/src/tools/core/stat_analysis/stat_analysis bin/.
Similarly for mode:
cp ./src/tools/core/mode/mode bin/mode
Sorry I don't have an obvious fix for this runtime error, but I didn't
find
anything in the config file.
