Hi John
This is C.Radhakrishnan from CSU, Fort Collins. As we discussed I need all supporting libraries tar files for install MET Tool in my system.

Please pull this tar file from our anonymous ftp site:
ftp://ftp.rap.ucar.edu/incoming/irap/met_help/MET_install_script.tar.gz
When you untar it, you'll find two subdirectories, scripts and
tar_files.
You'll want to run scripts/compile_all.sh. This is what we've used to
compile MET and it's dependent libraries in a variety of places.
You'll
need to set 4 environment variables, but it's pretty obvious at the
top of
the script.
You'll likely need to tweak it for your platform, but hopefully it
makes
the compilation process much smoother.

Thanks for your quick response.
I tried on my laptop. Getting this errors.
./preproc.sh: line 52: -o: command not found
./preproc.sh: line 54: ./endiantest: No such file or directory
./preproc.sh: line 54: [: =: unary operator expected
bash: -c: command not found
bash: -c: command not found
ar: *.o: No such file or directory
I think " endiantest " is file missing.

Hi John
I tried to install the Met tool on my laptop.
I can able to compile all external_libs except HDF. So I put
COMPILE_HDF=0 and started compile met tool
( COMPILE_MET=1). I put COMPILE_MET_PATCHES=0 because I don't have
MET_PATCHES source code directory in the tar files directory.
I got the following error in MET TOOL make.
make[4]: *** [Makefile:429: libvx_statistics_a-compute_ci.o] Error 1
make[4]: Leaving directory
'/home/chandrui/John_scripts/MET_install_script/MET_BUILD/met-
7.0_bugfix/src/libcode/vx_statistics'

Thanks for sending the output of make. Here's the relevant error
message
from that file:
compute_ci.cc:3426:48: error: invalid conversion from ‘char’ to ‘const
char*’ [-fpermissive]
nbrcnt_r_file = make_temp_file_name(prefix, '\0');
Fortunately, this issue has already been found and fixed, as described
on
the known issues page (posted 6/13/2018):
