Hello,

I see you're having trouble compiling MET version 5.1.  That version
was
released in October 2015.  The most recent version is met-8.1.1 which
is
available for download here:
   https://dtcenter.org/community-code/model-evaluation-tools-
met/download

If possible, I'd encourage you to use a more recent version.  While
you
sent us the config.log file that was generated by running the
"configure"
command, you did not actually send the compilation error.  I'd need to
see
that to have any idea of what the problem might be.  You could try
running:

make clean
make install >& make.log

And then send that make.log file.
