Hi John,
I want to use the ascii2nc to convert multiple levels data to netcdf format.
As you suggested, there's no need to modify the configure file, I run the test_ascii2nc.sh, but there's errors as:
*** Running ASCII2NC to reformat ASCII point observations into NetCDF ***
*** Running ASCII2NC to reformat ASCII rain gauge observations into NetCDF ***
DEBUG 1: Config File: /home1/04865/tg841649/tools/met/share/met/config/Ascii2NcConfig_default
terminate called after throwing an instance of 'std::out_of_range'
what(): basic_string::substr: __pos (which is 11) > this->size() (which is 10)

Hi Mandy.
I grabbed your 201711012000_height_met.txt and was able to reproduce
the
error you received. Taking a look at the file I see that your
Valid_Time
is not in the format that MET expects (YYYYMMDD_HHMMSS).
Once I changed your valid times from 2017110120 to 20171101_200000, I
was
able to get a successful run. I hope that helps.
