  Initial Request

John or Julie, can I run more than one instance of MET at once without internal temporary files getting stepped on? In this case it would be a statanal run at the same time as a point stat. Can I run 2 statanal at the same time as well?

Thanks
Bob Craig

Hi Bob. Yes, you can run more than one instance of MET at the same
time.
STAT-Analysis does create temporary files while running but their
filenames
include the process id number. So, two different runs of STAT-
Analysis
will have two different process ids and the temporary files won't
interfere
with each other. The user should make sure the output file names are
unique, but that would be done regardless of whether the jobs are run
sequentially or in parallel.

I hope this helps.

Have a great weekend!

Julie
