Hi,I have been working on the METv5.1's tc_pairs tool.following error shows
DEBUG 1: [Source 1 of 1] ADECK Source: aio012015.dat, Model Suffix: (nul)
DEBUG 1: [Source 1 of 1] BDECK Source: bio012015.dat, Model Suffix: (nul)
DEBUG 1: Config File Default: /gpfs2/home/jsodhi/met-5.1_bugfix/share/met/config/TCPairsConfig_default
DEBUG 1: Config File User: TCPairsConfig_default
DEBUG 1: Distance to land file: d2land.nc
DEBUG 2: Processing 1 ADECK file(s).
ERROR  :
ERROR  : int parse_lat(const char *) -> bad latitude ... "0"
ERROR  :

Though I been successful in running this tool of MET, I am still unsure about this error. I am attaching the files of forecast and BEST track file downloaded from http://www.ral.ucar.edu/hurricanes/repository. Can you please explain what does this above error means.

Jagdeep,

The error is coming from line number 10204 of the adeck file you sent
to me
(aio012015.dat):

IO, 01, 2015061300, 03, NG13, 000,   0 ,    0 ,   0,    0, XX,  34,
NEQ,
0000, 0000, 0000, 0000,    0,    0, ***

The latitude and longitude values are both set to 0, which breaks the
assumed ADECK file format.  Latitudes must end with a 'N' or 'S' and
longitudes must end with an 'E' or a 'W'.  After removing that single
line,
the tc_pairs tool runs fine on this data.
