Hello,
I have trouble with compiling met 5.0. and I would be glad for helping me
in this issue. I have bufrlib, netcdf, gsl libraries installed, all
environmental variables settled, but still cant compile the program. I
tried to disable block4 by ./configure --prefix=`pwd` --disable-block4 but
no help. My problem seems to be with pb2nc because if i run ./configure
--prefix=/home/dasa/Desktop/met/met --disable-block4 --disable-pb2nc it
works. Unfortunately for me, I need it.

Hi Dasa. I'm sorry to hear that you are having trouble compiling
METv5.0.
I suspect there may be an inconsistency between how BUFRLIB was
compiled
and how MET is trying to call it. Please refer to the directions for
how
to compile BUFRLIB in the MET Online Tutorial:
http://www.dtcenter.org/met/users/support/online_tutorial/METv5.0/compilation/req_libs.php
Please note the presence of the -DUNDERSCORE flag when compiling
BUFRLIB.
Please give that a try, then reconfigure and try compiling MET again.
Please let us know how it goes.
