----------------------------------------------------------------
  Initial Request
----------------------------------------------------------------

I am running the following command with MET V4.1:

stat_analysis -lookin ~/MET_PointStat_FINAL/results_m1o1_R/20120207 -out ~/MET_StatAnalysis/Summary_byHour/m1o1_9km/20120207/hr24/m1o1_9km_SFC_wind_dir_hr24.txt -v 3 -job aggregate_stat -line_type VL1L2 -out_line_type WDIR -obtype ADPSFC -fcst_lev Z10 -fcst_lead 240000 -log ~/MET_StatAnalysis/logs/Summary_by_hour/m1o1_Reen_9km_sfcwdir/20120207/hr24_log

I get the following error statement:

DEBUG 2: STAT Lines read     = 562656
DEBUG 2: STAT Lines retained = 1
DEBUG 2:
DEBUG 2: Processing Job 1: -job aggregate_stat -fcst_lead 240000 -fcst_lev Z10 -obtype ADPSFC -line_type VL1L2 -out_line_type WDIR
GSL_RNG_TYPE=mt19937
GSL_RNG_SEED=18446744072435853651
DEBUG 2: Computing output for 1 case(s).
ERROR  :
ERROR  :   AsciiTable::rc_to_n() -> range check error ...
ERROR  :                            (Nrows, Ncols) = (3, 6)
ERROR  :                            (r, c) = (1, 6)
ERROR  :

The Point-Stat output directory 20120207 contains output files including the .stat and VL1L2 lines for 24 hours. (i.e. Point-Stat was run for each hour starting at 12Z on 07 FEB and ending at 12Z on 08 FEB). There are 25 .stat and VL1L2 text files (one per hour).

My intent was to obtain the wind direction error statistics for the 24 hr forecast (hr24) valid at 12Z on 08 FEB.

Do you have any suggestions to resolve this error?

Thanks.

John

Please disregard my request for assistance. I reviewed the "known
Issues for MET V4.1" on the DTC MET website and spotted the bug fix
for a similar problem as follows:

08/05/13 - Problem: Running a STAT-Analysis job to aggregate wind
direction errors (-job aggregate_stat -line_type VL1L2 -out_line_type
WDIR) results in this runtime error:
AsciiTable::rc_to_n() -> range check error

I implemented a newly compiled METV4.1 version which contained the bug
fix and the issue is now resolved

Thanks for your diligence in maintaining your website with this
important info. Sorry for any inconvenience.

John

John,

Great. Thanks for letting me know you were able to resolve it. I was
planning to take a look at that one this afternoon.

Thanks,
John
