Scott,
I see that you're running Point-Stat but are getting zero matched pairs. However, I'm a little confused about a comment you made in your message. You said you tried running with the sample files in
the MET package and see the same problem. When you run the test scripts for MET (METv2.0/scripts/test_all.sh), does the output Point-Stat directory contain valid data or not? After you run the test
scripts, try running this command:
cat METv2.0/out/point_stat/*.stat | wc -l
That will tell us how many lines of output Point-Stat created.
Assuming the test script runs fine and Point-Stat does create output, I'm guessing that you're right. The problem is probably in how you've set up the Point-Stat configuration file. It'd probably be
easiest to have you send me the data you're using for running Point-Stat. I'll try to run it here and figure out what's going on.
Rather than send the data via email, you can post it to our anonymous ftp site. Here's how:
ftp ftp.rap.ucar.edu
username=anonymous
password="your email address"
cd incoming/irap/met_help/martinez_data
put "your files"
bye
Please be sure to post the following data:
(1) The GRIB forecast file
(2) The NetCDF observation file
(3) The Point-Stat configuration file
Please let me know when that data is available.
Thanks,
John Halley Gotway
