[Met_help] Does MET support lat-lon grid projection?

Does the MET mode and grid-stat tools support data in a lat-lon
projection.  I have found that the wrfpost software apparently does not,
so I can not make valid grib files from a global wrf run or lat-lon
subset.  However, I am trying to make a netcdf file using output from a
transport-dispersion model that looks like the output from pcp_combine,
so I can use MODE or grid-stat to analyze it.

If MET does support data in lat-lon projection, can you tell me what
projection parameters I need to set in the global attributes section of
the netCDF file.?
