Hi...

I'm looking over the documentation on the MET software, and I've come up with
an issue that I have questions on.

The problem that I'm looking at is converting obs into the netCDF format that
"pb2nc" and "ascii2nc" do.  The PrepBufr format is out, as I'm running this
on a 64-bit machine, and I don't want to play the many games to get it to
work.

I *do* have ascii decoded obs in our own internal format.  I could convert the
file to the "ascii2nc" format, however the documentation page

1.  Message_Type
7.  Grib_Code corresponding to this observation type
10. Observation_Value in the units prescribed for the grid code.

I've not found anything in the documentation defining what these are, so I
can't write any conversion code until I do.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
