Henry and Bryna David lecture will feature Dr. Shirley Malcom, Senior
Advisor to the CEO and Director of the SEA Change

at the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS).

Dr. Malcom’s talk will highlight the importance of the behavioral and
social sciences and education in evidence-based public policy and will
bring her considerable expertise in public science literacy, issues of
diversity, equity, and inclusion, and STEM education to bear on the
challenges facing our society. The event will be held in-person at the
National Academy of Sciences in Washington, DC as well as virtually. A
reception will be held in the Great Hall following the lecture.

Dr. Malcom serves as a Senior Advisor and Director of SEA Change at AAAS
that aims to advance institutional transformation in support of diversity,
equity, and inclusion, especially in colleges and universities. In
addition, Dr. Malcom is a trustee of Caltech
