1. You are not working from home, you are at home, during a pandemic,
trying to get work done.
2. Your physical, mental, and emotional health is the most important
thing right now.
3. Don't compare your ability to cope with everyone else's. 4. Don't
attempt to compensate for lost productivity by working longer hours.
5. We will get through this.

To: Rebecca Haacker <rhaacker at ucar.edu>

Dear Colleagues,

The AGU Heads and Chairs program and the American Geosciences Institute are
pleased to be offering a free online webinar and discussion about the
current state of the geoscience workforce and what the most recent data
indicates about emerging trends in skills, employment, and investment in
the geosciences. The discussion will include a snapshot of the state of
geosciences just prior to the pandemic and a look at the impacts of the
COVID-19 pandemic on geoscience workplace and instructional environments
based on data from AGI's Geoscience COVID-19 study. This month's discussion
will be led by AGI’s Workforce Program staff.

This webinar will be broadcast with closed captioning in English, Arabic,
Chinese (Traditional), French, German, Japanese, and Spanish.

Please consider registering yourself or invite any of your faculty or
colleagues who are interested in this month's topic.

We invite you to join us on Friday, 18 September 2020 from 1:00 P.M. - 2:00
