*NCAR Fellows Association Professional Development: Interviewing in the
Private Sector*

*Speakers: *
*Alicia Karspeck* is a *Science-Product Lead and Associate Director of
Earth System Prediction at Jupiter Intelligence.  *Before working at
Jupiter, Alicia was a Project Scientist at NCAR, where she specialized in
ocean and coupled global ensemble data assimilation and near-term climate
prediction. Alicia is also a co-founder at SK Analytics, a company
dedicated to influenza forecasting. Alicia has a B.S/M.S. in Mechanical
Engineering and a Ph.D. in Climate, Oceanography, Atmospheric Science from
Columbia University. She was a recipient of the NOAA Global Change
Postdoctoral Fellowship.

*Sarah Woods* is a *Research Scientist at SPEC, Inc.* and specializes in
cloud microphysical data collection and analysis from in situ cloud probes
onboard numerous aircraft platforms. Before joining SPEC Inc., she received
the ASEE Postdoctoral Fellowship for her postdoc at the Naval Research
Laboratory in oceanic optics and turbulence. She earned her B.S. in
Electrical Engineering and Optoelectronics from Colorado State University
 and her PhD in Applied Marine Physics from the University of Miami.
