Please join us on Tues., Sept. 25th at 2:00 PM for this seminar on proposal writing and evaluating. Tea will follow at 3:00 PM.  

Proposal Writing Seminar & 
Mock Review Panel Project Launch
Tuesday, Sept 25 2:00pm in the MMM Conference Room

2:00 PM:   We are lucky to have scientist Jordan Powers in the MMM lab at NCAR join us for the first half hour of this seminar to share some strategies and tips on proposal writing, including on some of the nuts and bolts.  He will also answer questions.

2:30 PM:  In an effort to give postdocs an opportunity to see "the other side" of this process, a Mock Review Panel Project is being initiated.

Postdocs and grad students will be invited to write and submit a full proposal, and to serve on a mock review panel. The review panel will consist of the proposal writers and a senior scientist that will serve as the review panel moderator.  We aim to introduce the tentative details of this project and identify an appropriate timeline that will be informed by the number of interested postdocs and proposal deadlines. 

3:00 PM:  Stick around for some tea & snacks afterwards in a nearby spot.
