Dear postdocs and grad students,

Please join us on Tues., Sept. 25th at 2:00 PM for this seminar on proposal
writing and evaluating. Tea will follow at 3:00 PM.

*Mock Review Panel Project Launch*

In this seminar, scientists with successful proposal writing experience
will share some of their strategies, and will answer questions.

In order to write a more successful proposal, it helps to understand the
panel review process used in funding agencies. In an effort to give
postdocs an opportunity to see "the other side" of this process, a *Mock
Review Panel Project* is being initiated.

Postdocs and grad students will be invited to write and submit a full
proposal, and to serve on a mock review panel. The review panel will
consist of the proposal writers and a senior scientist that will serve as
the review panel moderator.

At this seminar, we aim to introduce the tentative details of this project
and identify an appropriate timeline that will be informed by the number of
interested postdocs and proposal deadlines.
