In support of its significant existing strengths in climate and extreme 
weather, the Department of Earth, Atmospheric and Planetary Sciences 
(EAPS), within the College of Science, Purdue University, invites 
applications for two tenure-track faculty positions at the rank of 
Assistant Professor to begin in the 2015-16 academic year. Through these 
hires, EAPS seeks to further enhance its areas of expertise in global­ 
to ­regional weather and climate interactions, with an emphasis on 
understanding and quantifying the predictability of hazardous weather 
phenomena, such as tornadoes, mesoscale convective systems, and winter
