Hello ESGF Community,

I am happy to announce the 1.6.1 release of the ESGF stack is out.

The release has updates across the board and some new functionality. It also addresses many off the issues posted to the lists and project repos and the concerns posted from the European installer meeting.

UV-CDAT has been significantly updated had shows off a new installation process using cmake.  The install of UV-CDAT contains only what is needed for the current ESGF functionality and paves the way for further use of UV-CDAT in the context of the forthcoming expanded compute capabilities of the ESGF stack.

There are several bug fixes across the stack that will be detailed the upcoming, corresponding release page.
There is are a small set of known issues (please refer the projects' issues pages on GitHub).

Nothing has changed with globus in this release – (big globus upgrade slated for the next release).
Therefore the same installation heuristic applies for the globus installation: When in the globus installation process, answer affirmative to all prompted questions regardless of the default value presented. ;-).

Quick Instructions:

Run /usr/local/bin/esg-bootstrap
(if you don't have it fetch it from here: http://rainbow.llnl.gov/dist/esgf-installer/esg-bootstrap)
Don't forget to chmod 755 it;-)
