The CMIP5 AuthorisationServices on pcmdi3.llnl.gov and pcmdi7.llnl.gov are not working properly and therefore I cannot download data through the BADC, DKRZ or NCAR Gateways (I haven't checked NCI but I expect it's the same).

I have announced this on cmip5-announce and put a message on our Gateway but there is little more I can do at this time.

I raised this in a previous thread on the ESGF lists but I'll just repeat the diagnosis here:

PCMDI7 is responding with valid XML but doesn't recognise any OpenIDs whereas PCMDI3 is failing to respond to the SOAP endpoint at all.
The "ESGF Attribute Service" form at http://pcmdi7.llnl.gov/esgf-security/ should respond with CMIP5 attributes when you enter an OpenID such as https://ceda.ac.uk/openid/spascoe or https://pcmdi3.llnl.gov/esgcet/myopenid/spascoe.  At the moment I get the response "Unknown Principal"
