[Go-essp-tech] modification time

Hi John,

We were wondering how to insert a modification time-stamp as part of the 
TDS configuration catalog so we can know when the catalog was modified.
It should be located in the root catalog, so harvesting could be done on 
the deltas.

Anyway, I can insert a date element into the catalogRef like this:

But it doesn't appear in the catalog: 
http://cmip2.dkrz.de/thredds/cordex/catalog.xml

Is that wrong? Is there other method we could use for this?
