Hello all,

This email is primarily for those involved in the IS-ENES project who have some administrative issues to deal with in the next couple of months, but may be of interest for others who need to report on CMIP5 data access at some stage.

We need to provide information for our interim report in December, and it would be highly desirable to have this information in early November so that we can use it in our bid for continued funding.

What information? There is obviously a huge range of possible usage statistics, and we should make a pragmatic choice about what we extract in this short time frame. Subject to accessibility of the information, some or all of the following, arranged in order of priority, are needed:

(1)    Download volumes from data nodes at BADC, IPSL, CNRM;

(2)    Number of BADC and DKRZ users registered for cmip5_research data at PCMDI;

(3)    Download volumes from other CMIP5 data nodes;

(4)    Volume of downloads to European users (or, if that is not possible, users registered at European identity providers);

I think we should aim to have answers for at least (1) and (2),

Cheers,
Martin
