Within the next week BADC will be changing the configuration of it's MyProxy server to use a different server certificate and trust chain. Therefore CMIP5 users with CEDA OpenIDs may fail to get a certificate through the MyProxy protocol. If an authentication error occurs please do the following:

1. Remove your $HOME/.esg/certificates directory.
2. Run your MyProxy client with the download trust roots option enabled.

If this still doesn't work please contact CMIP5-HelpDesk at stfc.ac.uk making clear you have already tried the above solution.

Datanode and Gateway administrators please note the new certificates have been uploaded to the ESGF certificate repository. As this does not affect the trust chain of user certificates it is not urgent to upgrade, although generally you should keep your certificates in sync with the repository.

Thanks,
Stephen.
