[Go-essp-tech] Please help Curator prioritize model metadata tasks

Hi Everyone,

The Curator project would like to solicit a person or two to be CMIP5 and/or METAFOR representatives to help us prioritize which model metadata tasks get implemented into the ESG Gateway. The reason for this request is that the model metadata display is now being used by multiple groups, each competing for different capabilities. Besides CMIP5 and METAFOR, the Community Earth System Model (CESM) is now a stakeholder and the project with them also requires development time.

The CMIP5 and/or MEATAFOR representative will be expected to:
* Attend a meeting (up to two hours) prior to each Curator sprint. These sprints are occurring roughly every other month and are established well in advance.
* Given a list of pre-defined tasks, be able to speak to the urgency of each from a CMIP5 or METAFOR point of view. I can get you access to the tracker to review tasks in advance and will be happy to explain each one.
* The next Curator sprint will commence on 6 September, so I would like to have the first prioritization meeting next week, time to be determined by the participants.

While I understand that we are all task saturated, please consider volunteering for this effort. I will try to make it as efficient as possible and you will have the gratification of knowing we are engaging multiple communities in a transparent prioritization effort.

Thanks,
Sylvia
