[Go-essp-tech] ESG Gateway 1.2 CMIP5 Baseline release schedule

All,

Based on input from many of you, including review of related project and 
sub-project time-lines, we have updated the ESG Gateway 1.2 "CMIP5 
Baseline" release schedule to the following:

Release Date:  October 20, 2010
Code Freeze Date: October 8, 2010.

Further details regarding this release, including supported features, 
can be found in the Gateway Release Roadmap wiki page below:

This is an aggressive time-line which relies on closely coordinated 
federation testing and communication.  If any changes occur to the plan 
outlined above, we'll announce them to this list.  The roadmap wiki will 
reflect the most up-to-date information regarding the release schedule.

We'll continue to maintain an up-to-date snapshot Gateway at NCAR for 
testing purposes as we approach the release:

*Note* that the site above may be occasionally unavailable as it may 
undergo daily updates.

Nightly Gateway 1.2 pre-release snapshot builds can be found at the 
gateway repository:

As we approach the freeze date, we'll announce snapshots of interest 
that may be appropriate for early testing.  These will be available at 
the URL above.

This release involves integration of many components from the gateway, 
data node, replication, security and other collaborators.  Thanks to all 
involved on this effort in support of the CMIP5 activity!
