The School of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences (https://eas.gatech.edu<https://eas.gatech.edu/>) at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia, invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor in atmospheric chemistry. We seek candidates who will develop an innovative research program that advances understanding of chemical processes in the atmosphere and their connections to air quality, climate, ecosystems, or human health. Relevant areas may include atmospheric measurements and instrumentation; laboratory and field studies; aerosol and gas-phase chemistry; emerging pollutants; atmospheric exposure and health; and climate intervention science. We are particularly interested in candidates whose research emphasizes experimental, measurement-based, or observational approaches. Complementary expertise in atmospheric modeling, prediction, data science, or machine learning is also welcome.
The successful candidate will be expected to establish and sustain an independent, externally funded research program; demonstrate an exceptional commitment to the teaching and mentoring of students; develop and teach fundamental courses in atmospheric chemistry and related areas at the undergraduate and graduate levels; and make positive contributions to the School, Institute, and broader community.
