Asterisk Labs is the UK's first worker co-operative research lab. We have
just begun a large project on compression of Earth data, Earth Compress,
which seeks to develop and operationalise highly performant compression
algorithms, massively reducing the size and cost of increasingly large
environment datasets. We will be working closely with data producers like
ECMWF and EUMETSAT, alongside the wider EO and environmental communities,
to create an open-source toolbox that democratises data access, allowing
anyone to run global-scale experiments and analysis on petabytes of data.

This is a permanent position (subject to a 6-month probation period), 4 day
week, flexible hours, fully remote, salary of £82,000 per year.
