We’re hiring a Communications Specialist at Spark. We are a science-driven,
philanthropically funded non-profit that accelerates progress on unsolved
climate challenges. We’re looking for a strong writer and content producer
who excels at translating complex, technical topics into clear, compelling
communications to help us raise awareness and drive progress on high-impact
climate opportunities.

This is an execution-oriented, mid-level role. This role is a good fit for
someone who can:

• Get up to speed quickly on technical subject matter

• Consistently produce high-quality blogs and other written content to
clearly communicate complex topics

• A well-rounded communication who can manage multiple outreach channels
like newsletters and social media

Our ideal candidate is a prolific, high-quality writer; a social media and
newsletter wiz; and  someone who is sharp, curious, and motivated by
climate change.

philanthropically funded non-profit that accelerates progress on unsolved
climate challenges. Our goal is to enable a safer climate by filling
targeted gaps in current climate actions. We look around the corner at the
key blind spots that pose big climate risks or offer big climate
opportunities—like major sources of unabated emissions. Then work to speed
up the development of the fields needed to address those challenges.

Rather than betting on individual pathways or innovations, we work to grow
a field as a whole so that the most effective science and solutions can be
surfaced and scaled. We use a large suite of field-building tools to
support new research, markets, policies, and talent development, through
both in-house initiatives and building broader coalitions. We are currently
focused on super pollutants from agriculture, warming-induced greenhouse
gas emissions, and methane removal.
