Catastrophe models are the tools that insurance companies use to manage their biggest disaster risks – hurricanes, earthquakes, wildfires, floods, and more.  Come join Liberty Mutual to bring your GIS skillset to spatial analytics in catastrophe risk management.

6 month fully remote position for current students who are in school at least through Fall 2021.  Start this summer, fall semester is part-time (~20hrs/wk).  Exact start/end dates flexible.

Ideal candidate would be a current graduate student who uses GIS heavily in their research, who can get around in code (we mostly use R and Python), is comfortable with big databases (we mostly use SQL), and is great at communicating complex concepts to a wide variety of audiences.  Expect to tell us about the most interesting spatial analytics project you’ve worked on in the interview process.
