The Air Quality Modeling Lab at the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA) is recruiting a motivated Ph.D. student to begin in Fall 2026. The student will work on air quality modeling, using advanced chemical transport models and satellite observations.
Research Topics Include:
  *   Regional air quality modeling using tools such as WRF-Chem or CMAQ
  *   Satellite data assimilation
  *   Air quality monitoring
Qualifications:
  *   Background in atmospheric science, environmental science, or meteorology
  *   Experience with programming (e.g., Python) and scientific computing
  *   Strong interest in numerical modeling and environmental applications
  *   GRE is required
