Dear all,

The University of Chicago’s AI for Climate Initiative
<https://datascience.uchicago.edu/research/aice-ai-for-climate/> (AICE)
invites applications for the Data Science Institute’s Postdoctoral Scholars
Program (
https://datascience.uchicago.edu/research/postdoctoral-programs/dsi-scholars/).
All areas of AI for weather and climate, spanning climate science, computer
science, economics, mathematics, physics, public health, social sciences,
and statistics, as well as their intersections, are of interest.

AICE is a joint program between the University of Chicago’s Data Science
Institute and the Institute for Climate and Sustainable Growth, bringing
together an interdisciplinary group of researchers who leverage AI to
improve prediction capabilities and understanding of climate physics,
develop quantitative models for socioeconomic impacts, and create new
adaptation and mitigation strategies.

Postdoctoral fellows can work with any of the AICE co-directors (Pedram
Hassanzadeh, Jiwen Fan, Ian Foster, Amir Jina, and Tiffany Shaw) and/or any
faculty member at the University of Chicago. Please ensure to discuss your
application with at least one faculty member and obtain a letter of support
(required).

Deadline: November 15, 2025
