Weather Risk Communicator

   - ns and provide real-time alerts and warnings for severe weather
   events, such as hurricanes, storms, and extreme temperatures.
   - Participate in ongoing professional development activities, such as
   attending conferences, workshops, and training sessions, to enhance
   forecasting skills and knowledge.



Who You Are:

   - Bachelor's degree or higher in meteorology, atmospheric science, or a
   related field. Advanced degrees are advantageous.
   - Proven experience in weather forecasting, meteorological analysis, or
   a related field.
   - Strong knowledge of meteorological principles, atmospheric dynamics,
   and weather patterns.
   - Familiarity with meteorological data sources, weather satellites,
   radar systems, and weather station instruments.
   - Proficiency in using weather forecasting software, numerical weather
   prediction models, and data visualization tools.
   - Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex
   meteorological data accurately.
   - Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey
   weather information effectively to diverse audiences.
   - Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and
   prioritize tasks to meet tight deadlines.
   - Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including evenings, nights,
   weekends, and holidays.
   - Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in weather
   forecasting and reporting.
   - Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team
   environment.
   - Professional certifications or memberships in meteorology-related
   organizations are advantageous.



Spire operates a hybrid work model, and this position will require you to
work a minimum of three days per week in the office.

Access to US export-controlled software and/or technology may be required for
this role. If needed, Spire will arrange the necessary licenses—this is not

The anticipated base salary range for this position is listed below. Final
base salary for this role will be based on the location, skills, experience
and qualifications. In addition to base compensation, this role may be
eligible for annual equity awards and our employee benefits program,
including vacation, sick, and personal time off; optional medical, dental,
vision, life, and disability coverage; a 401(K) plan; health and wellness
reimbursement program; and participation in Spire’s Employee Stock Purchase
Plan.

Salary Range
$90,000—$130,500 USD
