Fully funded Ph.D./Master positions in Climate Change and Climate Intervention

The new Climate Change and Climate Intervention Research Group in the Department of Atmospheric Sciences <https://www.atm.ncu.edu.tw/> at the National Central University <https://www.ncu.edu.tw/en/> (Taoyuan, Taiwan) is looking for several highly motivated Ph.D./Master students to join a new project funded by the National Science and Technology Council (NSTC), starting in Spring 2026. 

Description:

·      The positions will support research to advance understanding of climate change, its impacts on extreme events, and climate intervention. 
·      The positions will work mainly on satellite observations, reanalysis datasets, global climate models, and artificial intelligence/machine learning models.
·      Students will be part of a collaborative research environment, with opportunities to work with scientists from other institutions and universities in and outside Taiwan.
·      Students will receive a competitive salary, and qualified international students will also receive a full tuition waiver during their studies. 

Qualifications:

·      Strong communication skills in English and high responsibility are expected.
·      The ideal candidate should have a background in one or more of the following areas: atmospheric science, climatology, statistics, big data analytics, or related physical sciences. 
·      Proficiency with at least one programming language is highly desirable.
