Dear all,
I'm looking for a postdoctoral researcher to join my group
<https://sites.google.com/view/thomasjaubry/Research/team?authuser=0> at
the Department of Earth Sciences at the University of Oxford (UK). The
position is funded for 27 months (salary £38,674 - £43,171) by the NERC
PHOENIX project (‘Influence of complex source and environmental source
conditions on eruptive plume height’). The successful applicant will be
part of a diverse team including co-leaders Eric Breard (University of
Edinburgh), Samantha Engwell (British Geological Survey) and Helen Webster
(UK Met Office and University of Exeter), as well as project partners from
the UK, France, USA and Italy. The Oxford postdoc position will be focused
on analogue laboratory experiment and reduced-complexity numerical
modelling approaches, and the postholder will participate in fieldwork with
the whole team.
More details on the position and application can be found at
https://tinyurl.com/phoenix-oxford. The application deadline is September
11, we expect to hold interviews Sep 22-24, and the successful applicant to
start by early 2026. Please contact me for any questions!
All the best,
Thomas
