Two Fully-Funded PhD Opportunities in Dr. Yunyao Li’s Group at the University of Texas at Arlington (Spring 2025 or Fall 2025)
Dr. Yunyao Li<https://www.uta.edu/academics/faculty/profile?username=liy8> is seeking two motivated PhD students to join her research group at the University of Texas at Arlington, starting in Spring 2025 or Fall 2025. These positions offer full tuition coverage and a stipend.
The research will focus on air quality modeling and forecasting for extreme weather events (e.g., wildfire, dust storm, thunderstorm, etc.), wildfire emissions, satellite data analysis, and the impact of climate change on air quality.

  *   Proficiency in programming and data analysis, with experience in at least one programming language (e.g., R, Python, MATLAB, FORTRAN, IDL, NCL, GIS, C, C++). Candidates with FORTRAN experience will be prioritized.
  *   Prior research experience in air quality modeling, climate, or earth system modeling is highly desirable.
