  *   GEDI Science Team Project: Embracing the 3D Era: Exploring Vertical Acclimation of Vegetation Canopy Structure and Photosynthetic Activities through GEDI Data
  *   SMAP Science Team Project: Vegetation Water Use Strategies: Insights from SMAP Data and Eco-Evolutionary Optimality Principles

I welcome candidates with strong quantitative skills and experience in high-performance computing clusters for big data processing. Candidates with expertise in one of the following areas—physical geography, quantitative remote sensing modeling (such as canopy radiative transfer), eco-hydrology, carbon cycle science and modeling, carbon-water coupling, atmospheric and climate science, land surface modeling, or physics-guided machine learning—are especially encouraged to apply.
