Salary
$61,531 - $98,449 Annually
Why does the job exist?
The Climate Change Bureau (CCB) team focuses on reducing the state's greenhouse gas emissions by at least 45% by 2030 from 2005 levels and net zero emissions by 2050 and this position will be responsible for leading the development and administration of reporting systems under the Clean Transportation Fuel Program.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have experience in the following:
- Developing and implementing regulations and programs that reduce emissions from transportation
- Initiating and developing regulatory or emission reduction programs
- Tracking emissions in the transportation sector
- Working with fuel supply networks
- Giving presentations to the regulated community, the public, and/or stakeholders
- Engaging with people from diverse backgrounds
- Communicating effectively and professionally (both verbally and in writing)
- Working under pressure to complete tasks and produce results
- Performing work that requires high-level conceptual analysis and understanding as well as attention to detail
- Testifying before boards, commissions, and legislative committees
Minimum Qualification
Bachelor's degree in Physical, Natural, or Environmental Science, Soil Science, or Engineering and five (5) years of experience in public/environmental health, environmental science, Air Quality Management, Biology, Engineering, Chemistry, Geology, Hazardous Waste Management, Wildlife Management, and/or Water Resources.
