The department of geography at Université de Montréal (Montréal, Canada) is seeking applicants for a tenure-track assistant professor position in remote sensing.

We are looking for applicants that will develop a high-level research program integrating innovative approaches in remote sensing of the environment to explore new research horizons. Your field of research could be, but not limited to, themes such as microwave, hyper-spectral or thermal remote sensing image analysis, geospatial and big data analysis, or artificial intelligence applied to the development of smart and sustainable cities and environmental studies. Your program should have a strong modeling and/or observation component having the potential for significant impact.

The Department of Geography<https://geographie.umontreal.ca/accueil/> covers the fields of human and physical geography, with an interdisciplinary approach and a strong focus on geospatial and environmental sciences. The department has first-rate research infrastructures, such as remote sensing and geographic information systems laboratories, located in a brand new science complex.
