The School for Field Studies is hiring a Health and Wellness Coordinator for our Queensland, Australia center! Our programs in Australia take place in the country’s ancient rainforests, with excursions to the edge of the Outback and the Great Barrier Reef.

Research at our Australia Center focuses on the environmental threats that have caused rainforest fragmentation, species loss, and reef die-off, and we work with the Mandingalbay Yidinji Indigenous people and Tablelands communities on restoration and management projects to help Australia thrive in a time of ecological uncertainty.

The Health and Wellness Coordinator works closely with the Center Director to coordinate all non-academic components of the program, including student health and wellness, risk management, group dynamics, community engagement, and daily program operations.

Note: We are hiring for this position quickly - with an expected hire date of May 2024.

The ideal candidate has the following qualifications:
-Wilderness First Responder (WFR) certified
-Experience living, working, or studying abroad (alumni are welcome to apply!)
-Professional experience with group facilitation or leading experiential education programs
-Experience with emergency response, crisis management, or risk management
