I will be hiring graduate/undergraduate students for the summer (up to 13 weeks) to work at Los Alamos on water isotope ratios/tracers as using either compiled observational data or within the DOE Climate Model, E3SM, with a focus on coastal and/or urban settings. Open to a range of scientific backgrounds, but preference will be given to candidates with experience in at least one of the following (no candidate is expected to have experience in all of these areas): a) background in hydrology, Earth systems science, climate or atmospheric sciences, coastal processes and/or computational science, b) experience with water isotope ratios or geochemical tracers, or c) experience with version control tools and common data science, machine learning, or artificial intelligence packages in Python or R, d) experience with Earth system models such as CESM or E3SM.

Thanks,
Rich
