We have an exciting opportunity for a Microbiologist to join our team!

 As the Microbiologist, you will:

Work in a BSL-2 rated microbiology lab
Use aseptic technique; Microbial isolation using liquid and solid media
DNA extraction and purification; PCR preparation and analysis
Sanger-based DNA sequencing; Follow SOPs to maintain high quality data
Clean, maintain equipment and laboratory
Wash and sterilize laboratory equipment
Maintain ISO compliance and follow Good Laboratory Practices
Record and validate data into appropriate logbooks
Microbiology method validation
Coordinate department sample throughput
Ability to stay organized and multitask in a high volume, fast passed work
environment
Ability to work well in a team environment
Perform other duties as required

Here's What You'll Need:

Requisition Qualifications:

This position has been posted at multiple levels. Depending on the
candidate's experience, requirements, and business needs, we reserve the
right to consider candidates at any level for which this position has been
advertised.

A Bachelor of Science degree is typically required
Experience using aseptic technique and working in a biosafety level 2
laboratory
Experience in the use of an array of molecular biology instrumentation,
including modern sequencing equipment and quantitative- or digital-PCR
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as
excellent interpersonal skills
Requisition Preferences:

BS degree from an accredited college or university in microbiology,
biology, or associated technical discipline, or a MS degree in
microbiology, biology, or associated technical discipline
