*NSF NCAR Postdoc Fellow Job Description Summary:*
This is a two-year term position for a post-doctoral research fellow at NSF
NCAR.
The new hire will research observational (satellite and in-situ) analysis
and modeling for land surface properties, snowpack, and terrestrial
hydrology to deepen the understanding of postfire changes in terrestrial
hydrology (e.g., snowpack, soil moisture, ET, runoff).
This research will involve land surface simulations using models like
Noah-MP, evaluating model outputs with satellite and ground observations,
and analyzing observational data related to snowpack, soil moisture, ET,
and/or runoff. The post-doc will work with a world-class
multi-institutional research team across NSF NCAR and university partners
through an interdisciplinary research group dedicated to snowpack, fire,
land, and hydrological studies.
