> The BOATS (Biological Opportunities And Training in Sciences) Program at the Dauphin Island Sea Lab (DISL) will provide participants with transformative professional development and research training to further their career path.
> Application Process

> Application via NSF/ETAP should include the following:
>             1.  Personal Statement - include a brief description of yourself and background (background and personal interests with respect to the program and your intended
>                  area of specialization, career objectives, and research interests)
>             2.  CV/Resume
>             3.  Transcript 
>             4.  Three (3) references (2 professional references for letters of recommendation)
> 
> Applicants' Eligibility
> Received a Bachelor's degree in either Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or any related field within the last 2.5 years (May 2022-May 2024)
> Undergraduate GPA minimum of 3.0
> **Participants from backgrounds underrepresented in marine science are encouraged to apply. Preference will be given to applicants with little to no research experience.
> 
> Applicants admitted to the program will receive:
> 1-year of full support ($40K stipend, funds for research, and on-site housing)
> Access to supportive professional network of mentors and peers
> Immersive research and professional development activities to prepare for graduate school or career-establishing opportunities
> Professional Ecologist Certification from the Ecological Society of America (optional)
> Application via NSF/ETAP for BOATS Postbaccalaureates Program are due AUGUST 1st, 2024.
