Climate Central is seeking a new *VP for Science* (
https://www.climatecentral.org/vp-for-science). Our work already
contributes to tens of thousands of news stories per year, but we can do
much more. The person we hire will play an instrumental role in this growth
by leading and engaging in a vital program of peer-reviewed research and
self-published analyses.

Our broader goal is to systematically and frequently insert climate change
into the stories where science can show it belongs, both in the US and
worldwide, and in the media and beyond. We are especially poised to grow
our work attributing weather and its local impacts to climate change.

We're working to build a large pool of highly qualified candidates who are
diverse across identity. Essential qualifications include:


   -

   A strong climate science background (productive; collaborative;
   rigorous; quantitative; versed in attribution science)
   -

   Leadership and management experience (in scientific and broader contexts)
   -

   Strength in science communication
   -

   Passion for all of these areas


The job can be remote, with occasional travel to headquarters in Princeton.
