Job Description and Duties
Join a diverse, dynamic team of environmental scientists collecting biological and water quality samples as part of the Environmental Monitoring Program. Our program conducts ecological monitoring in the San Francisco Bay-Delta estuary, sampling over 25 stations monthly aboard our research vessel, R/V Sentinel. The incumbent will prepare and organize field equipment, assist in sample collection, preservation, and processing, enter data into online databases, perform quality assurance checks, and contribute to the preparation of scientific reports and presentations. Other duties include assisting technical staff with the statistical analysis of ecological data, conducting primary scientific research for special studies, and preparing and presenting findings as directed.

Must possess a valid driver’s license. Field sampling may occur on weekends and at night.
