We utilize cutting-edge technology and satellite data from LANDSAT, Sentinel, NSAR, and more to evaluate patterns in vegetation, inundation, carbon dynamics, and disturbances across diverse ecosystems.
Responsibilities:As a Postdoctoral Researcher, you will play a pivotal role in designing and executing workflows to analyze spatial and temporal patterns in ecosystems, landscapes, and global processes. Your work will involve conducting innovative research over a 2 to 3-year period, with annual evaluations for reappointment. You will have access to the core facilities at the Yale School of the Environment, reside locally, and maintain a regular workspace on campus. Your primary focus will be on groundbreaking research, complemented by valuable career mentorship.
Valued Skills: We are seeking a strong candidate with expertise in developing remote sensing algorithms, proficiency in working with Google Earth Engine, and adeptness in geospatial analyses. Skills in efficiently handling large datasets, a passion for designing data products and community resources, expertise in macrosystem ecology, knowledge-guided machine learning, deep learning, and synthesis science are highly valued.
Position Requirements:
* A Ph.D. in data science, statistics, or physical/biological sciences is preferred.
* At least 2 years of work experience.
* Postdoctoral Researchers should be within 5 years of receiving their Ph.D.
