I have a post-doc position available. Please see the details below:

Dr. Yalei You’s research group (https://uncw.edu/earsci/yaleiyou.html) in the Department of Earth and Ocean Sciences, University of North Carolina Wilmington is currently seeking a postdoctoral scholar to begin immediately. The candidates’ research, supported by grants from NASA and NOAA, will focus on satellite precipitation algorithm development. The successful candidate will use observations from 20+ satellites to improve level-3 gridded satellite precipitation products (e.g., IMERG).
A Ph.D. degree in atmospheric science, civil / environmental engineering, or a closely related field is required. Strong analytical skills and experience in computer programming (e.g., Matlab, IDL, Fortran, Python, C) are required. The successful candidate should be familiar with the principles of satellite precipitation measurement and the sensor observations used to generate the level-3 merged satellite products (e.g., GMI, DPR, SSMIS, etc.).
