As a researcher within the curation branch of Astromaterials Research and
Exploration Science (ARES) division at NASA Johnson Space Center, you will
serve as a science team member working collaboratively with the Artemis
Curation Lead in providing advanced curation research in the field of cold
materials and providing expertise to the Agency and scientific community as
required including support of human and robotic missions.

Duties
Leads Advanced Curation research in support of Artemis readiness in the
areas of lunar sample curation, lunar sample processing, and cold curation.
Supports NASA-internal Artemis Science Team.
Performs research on lunar and planetary samples/analogs through
experimentation to understand petrology, mineralogy, physical properties,
spectroscopy, and/or geo/cosmochemistry.
Writes successful proposals related to lunar and/or planetary science
research.
Writes peer-reviewed publications in high-ranked journals (for example:
Geochemica Cosmochemica Acta, Icarus, Journal of Geophysical research:
Planets, Planetary Science Journal, Nature Geology, Nature Astronomy,
Science Advances, Science, etc).
Provides service and leadership to the Agency and scientific community as
required in their area of expertise (panel reviews, publication reviews,
etc).
Fosters a culture of engagement, diversity, inclusiveness, excellence and
